Dan Fisher: An Exciting Addition to Our 1 Team

We’re excited to announce that Dan Fisher has recently joined our team as Head of Building Services Engineering and Sustainability. This new role is another step in our commitment to our 1 Team approach.

Dan is an invaluable addition to our steadily growing Building Services Engineering and Sustainability experts. Heading up the team, he brings a wealth of experience, having spent the last 17-years at Ridge and Partners. Having originally studied Automotive Engineering at the University of Hertfordshire, Dan returned to university during his time at Ridge to complete a part time Master’s Degree in Building Services Engineering. Dan then went on to become a Chartered Engineer and CIBSE Low-Carbon Consultant, with a drive to become the best engineer he could, whilst maintaining a passion for sustainability.

In work, Dan has a keen eye for detail, he enjoys problem solving and he is dedicated to sustainable design and assisting clients in their road to net-zero carbon. Dan is also a strong advocate for mentorship and development of others. As Head Coach for the discipline, Dan will be prioritising a CIBSE approved training programme that will form part of KK’s Academy structure, assisting others to graduate and hopefully achieve Chartership.

As he works to build the team, Dan is eager to share his knowledge and inspire new talent within the realms of Building Services Engineering and Sustainability and to provide opportunities for graduates and apprentices.

Outside of work, Dan is kept very busy with his wife, Hannah, and two young daughters. Weekends involve taxiing his daughters around to swimming and horse-riding lessons, drama and dance classes and spending time together as a family exploring the outdoors. In his free time, Dan likes to keep fit and take part in numerous sports and hobbies, with a love of fishing, football, and golf (both the traditional and disc variety). To balance out all that energetic activity, Dan likes to slow things down and spend time outside, going for walks, looking after the garden, and putting on the odd home brew!

When the chance came up to join KK as Head of Building Services Engineering and Sustainability, Dan saw it as a fantastic opportunity, and one which perfectly aligns with his skills and passions. Drawn to our company ethos, the 1 Team approach, he felt that his experience in collaborative project delivery would support this.

Dan’s primary focus will be the strategic growth of Building Services Engineering and Sustainability across the KK business to reinforce the 1 Team approach in each of the KK offices.
