Our 1 Team completed work on the conversion of wards at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. This project included the conversion of an existing renal ward into a Renal High Dependency Unit. It involved removing the existing bays and replacing them with new high dependency unit bays and isolation rooms, designed around a central staff base. New ventilation was also installed throughout the ward. There were complexities which included a very congested roof, so the ventilation ducts needed to be relocated to the sides of the building.
Chris Knight, Senior Project Manager at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust said “Kendall Kingscott worked with us to convert an existing renal ward into a Renal High Dependency Unit. The project was expertly managed, and they demonstrated a thorough understanding of the requirements and challenges of working within NHS estates. As a result, we now have a modern Renal High Dependency Unit that will deliver high quality care to our patients.”
