Project Recognition - Constructing Excellence South West Awards 2026

Earlier this month we were pleased to attend the official opening of the new Main Operating Base in Dorset - a key milestone in the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust investment in modern, future ready facilities. 

Designed by our architects, the Ferndown based MOB provides a high quality, purpose-built environment that will support improved patient care and operational excellence for years to come. 

The opening ceremony was attended by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dorset and the High Sheriff of Dorset, alongside trust leaders and project partners. 

This facility forms an essential part of SWASFT’s multiyear programme to modernise ambulance service infrastructure across the South West, ensuring teams have the spaces and resources they need to deliver outstanding care to local communities.

We were pleased to also see this project shortlisted in the ‘Building project of the year (up to £8M)’ as part of the Constructing Excellence South West Awards 2026.
