Condition Improvement Funding for Academy Trusts

The condition improvement fund (CIF) is a government-funded bidding process targeted at improving the condition of school buildings for academies and academy trusts throughout England. There is an element available for expansion too. Proudly, we've supported academies to gain funding via this route since its inception over ten years ago (when it was formerly known as ACMF). Our long history of the process has given us an enviable appreciation for its requirements and funding trends. This translates into highly skilled teams offering bidding, design and delivery expertise.

With the latest funding announced, we've taken the opportunity to reflect on all we've achieved.

Our impressive results wouldn't be possible without the collaborative relationships we build with our academy partners. Working closely together, we truly understand and work together towards each academy's priorities. For some of our longest-standing academies, it's allowed us to secure close to £7m for multiple projects across an individual site. This level of funding for building conditions would be challenging for academies to achieve alone from any other sources. That's how we believe we're different. We focus on building long-term relationships and continued success, not one-off wins. With well-developed strategies, high-quality advice, and persistence, we can unlock the potential that CIF has to offer and maximise opportunities for our academy clients.

Words from some of our academy partners

Their professionalism from the very onset gave us confidence and the advice and guidance has been invaluable.

From first contact and throughout the bid writing process the KK team were very professional and thorough in their work.

We have worked with Kendall Kingscott on a number of projects, all involving CIF bids for capital projects. They have been totally professional at all stages, providing us with everything we need to submit an CIF bid.

We have also used Kendal Kingscott to manage successful CIF projects, from tendering to project management to snagging. At all stages they been very easy to contact and have made running a major project very easy.
