Planning granted at David Henry Waring Court

Planning granted at David Henry Waring Court

Kendall Kingscott were appointed by the Elizabeth Jane Jones charity in 2019 to design a new affordable housing development of 1 and 2 bedroom accessible self-contained flats for the elderly at London Affordable Rents. The new scheme of 31 dwellings and community room are within the curtilage of a substantial mature walled garden adjacent to the Grade II Listed David Henry Waring Court in Bedfont, LB Hounslow. The existing building contains 8 flats, a library, conservatory and reading room.

The new development is highly sustainable, 2 and 3 storeys in height with external walkways. The layout wraps around a central communal courtyard which sits at the heart of the development.

The scheme underwent numerous iterations and transformations following meetings with Trustees and the Design Review Panel, and we are delighted to announce that DHWC has finally been granted approval after four years!
