Supporting the Next Generation
This summer, we were delighted to welcome work experience students to our Ringwood, Bristol, Teddington and Exeter offices, giving them an insight into the wide range of career opportunities available within Kendall Kingscott.
Students gained hands-on experience across Architecture, Building Surveying and Quantity Surveying, spending time with different teams to learn about the workplace, develop new skills and explore potential career paths.
Those joining our Quantity Surveying teams were introduced to all stages of a project, from cost planning and budgeting through to tendering, contracts and final accounts. They also had the opportunity to visit completed projects and live construction sites, as well as gaining practical experience using specialist software and cost-planning exercises.
Within our Architecture teams, students worked on their own design projects, taking ideas from initial research and concept development through to sketches, plans and 3D models. In Exeter, students also took part in the annual RIBA South West Work Experience Competition, developing creative design proposals in response to this year's treehouse hotel brief.
It was fantastic to see the enthusiasm, creativity and fresh perspectives students brought to their placements, and we're proud to support young people as they explore future career opportunities within the built environment.
Thank you to all our colleagues across the business who gave their time to mentor and support students throughout the summer.
