Toilets at Bristol Airport
New WC facilities at Bristol Airport were completed last year – a project we’re proud to have supported from concept through to delivery.
This fast‑track scheme was delivered in time for the busy holiday season, helping to enhance passenger experience.
The project was a pilot for a new WC design guidelines book, this development sets the standard for future facilities across the airport estate - embedding quality, consistency and inclusivity at the heart of every scheme.
Kendall Kingscott provided architectural services and Principal Designer Building Regulations (PDBR) support, working closely with the wider team to navigate the challenges of a live airport environment. This included careful coordination around existing commercial operations and airside security constraints to minimise disruption.
The result is a significant increase in capacity within the toilets, alongside the delivery of truly inclusive facilities – with provision for accessible, unisex, family and changing spaces to ensure a better experience for all users.
A great example of what can be achieved through collaboration and clear design vision - well done to everyone involved.
