St Anne's Catholic School is formed of numerous buildings of mixed age and construction, spanning from the Georgian era to the present day. Its compact inner-city site sits in a conservation area, with many buildings awarded listed status.

The school was experiencing widespread water ingress due to poor condition, life-expired roofs, and their windows in equally poor condition. One of the schoolhouses was in similarly poor condition, with severe damp issues and an outbreak of dry rot. We co-ordinated three successful Condition Improvement Fund bids addressing the defective areas allowing a permanent upgrade to modern-day standards. Due to the school's heritage status, traditional materials and techniques were employed where required with a minimal intervention approach.

The completed projects have vastly improved the teaching and learning environment for the school whilst being sensitive to the listed status of buildings and providing the Academy with safe and dry teaching spaces, more reflective of their outstanding 'OFSTED' rating.

Our one-stop team delivery exemplified the added value we brought to this project. Our involvement spanned strategic maintenance planning, bid preparation, securing funding, design and delivery to a successful conclusion, all from one source.
